Commonly known as Portuguese Laurel, Prunus Lusitanica is an attractive, evergreen shrub which has glossy, evergreen, deep-green leaves with contrasting red stems. Small, fragrant, white flowers in summer followed by black fruits in autumn. Thrives in most reasonable sites and soils, not fussy. Can reach 6 metres (20yrs) if left untrimmed, and slow growth also can be easily shaped.
